This is the 2nd time we stayed at this hotel, in general very happy with everything. One thing you need to fix is soft drinks! Last year there was a machine, this year we had to wait and ask bar staff for a glass of cola, I don't think it's a good thing to wait in queue for 10-15 mins for a soft drink. Cocktails or alcoholic drinks I understand obviously! Thanks

We enjoyed our stay and found that other reviews we had read regarding the repetitive nature of the food were completely unfounded! We found a huge choice of food, catering to all tastes and it was interesting to try out new dishes each day. We found the staff to be excellent, all very helpful and friendly. Whether working in reception, the dining area, entertainment, or cleaning, all were a credit to the hotel. The one disappointment of our holiday was that our enjoyment was affected by crying infants in adjoining rooms day and night throughout our stay. We appreciate that the hotel is child friendly, but we think it would be a good idea, wherever possible to accomodate young families together and for there to be a quieter accomodation block for couples/single travellers .

Hotel grounds are lovely and rooms large and kept very clean by staff the beds and pillows were very comfortable best i've had away. Food very good. Lovey extra special details for valentines day which was really nice thanks. The pool was to cold for myself and my 13 year old son who had purple hands a face coming out of and shivering for ages after, maybe the weather just wasn't warm enough! Did make me feel concerned! Had a really lovey meal in the Italian restaurant. On the last day my son and his firends that we traved with had fun with the aqua aerobics apart from the cold water, and had great fun playing a soccer match, but I feel on the rest of the days there wasnt anything going on for teenagers! The lounge bar and pool bar after a few days into our hoilday had long queues as only one staff on, also the paper cups dont feel great drinking a cocktail from! Over all we had a great stay and would return thank you!

We had a fantastic week staying in the hotel. We really enjoyed eating in the Italian and Mexican restaurant and the food the chef made at the live cooking was very tasty. I would suggest to make any improvement to the restaurant I would provide different desserts as got a bit boring after a few days and improve the standard of fruit juice as they were very watered down tasting. We enjoyed the Bruno Mars, circus show, purple party show but thought the other shows were a bit strange. The guy doing the quizz at night before shows was very good. We would definitely recommend hotel to friends and would happily return.

Hotel and food was perfect for our spring break. Only negative point to comment on was poor evening entertainment the hotel turned to ghost town as everyone seemed to head to bed due to the lack of entertainment. Few nights outside acts were brought in but only lasted for an hour. This would have been appreciated more nights during our stay.

Have read a lot of reviews about Rio Player hotel & can’t understand why people have written bad reports… Had a great holiday here Sefton 20/3/22. Lovely clean rooms that were cleaned everyday with clean fresh towels. Fantastic selections of good for breakfast lunch & dinners. All clean round the pool Areas. Would highly recommend this place.

Loved our stay, family just two of us and was so relaxing exactly what we wanted. The food was good plenty of it and varied. Got a little busy sometimes in the restaurant but thats a sign that the food was good. The bungalows were just beautiful and the patio made such a big difference to the comfort and pleasure staying there and so did the grounds, just so pretty. We will definitely look to go back to this hotel. The staff were efficient and helpful. The standard of cleanliness was perfect. Entertainment lounge was somewhat cramped so get in early! There is only one thing which could be improved and that is the water temperature in the pool, the pool is massive and stunning but it is also baltic !! Very few people dared to go in it not even many children and they normally brave anything. But still scores 10/10

Le gros point NOIR est la restauration, plat réchauffer, viande de porc dur comme de la semelle, aucune diversité, tous les jours les mêmes plats. Que des plats au bain-marie, mais ils sont froid. Dessert sans goût, aussi bien les fruits que les glaces qui elles sont fondues . Restaurant à fuir . Une semaine de vacances pratiquement sans avoir rien mangé, et pas la possibilité d aller manger à l exterieur en raison du couvre feu a 18h.

We had a fantastic time whilst staying at the hotel. Staff were very friendly and were always on hand if we needed any assistance. I can honestly say I cant fault the hotel. Only issue was the guys taking photos who stopped us and took photos and when we looked at them later in the evening started pushing us to spend 240 euros for the photos we choose. Unsurprisingly we didn't buy them and the guy became quite irritated and started to offer us " tonight only " deals. After the chap said I didn't value my son I just walked off.

Hello Rio, The hotel Rio Playa Blanca was excellent. The location amazing. The hotel amazing value and staff lovely. Met some cool people too... Sooo... The calibre of guests good too ;). Food is great... Yes the pools aren't boiling... Most aren't... Its not a hot tub.. Jump in and have fun. :) Special mention to a few of the girls in the animation team. We have just returned from a week's stay at your beautiful hotel. We tried the Thematic restaurant, found them to be too hectic, your food is brought out far too quickly, both restaurants lack atmosphere. The rest of the hotel was lovely I know you were testing having the entertainment in the lobby bar. May I suggest you either revert to the old way or perhaps use the sport bar. It was far too noisy in the lobby bar and majority of your guests would welcome some peaceful time in the evening. In saying that perhaps some low key piped music for background entertainment . Hotel reformado recientemente en su totalidad. Las habitaciones son confortables y las camas son cómodas. Dispone de hervidor para infusiones y cafés de sobre. Los jardines y exteriores están muy cuidados. La comida del restaurante buffet es variada y muy bien cocinada. Los alérgenos están indicados. Hay dos restaurantes temáticos. Como aspectos mejorables, ser algo más flexibles con la retirada del buffet cuando acaba la hora de entrada pues son excesivamente puntuales y ampliar la hora del desayuno. El personal es muy atento y educado. En especial Pedro de la zona de bares, Tony en recepción y Sidi como jefe de cocina son geniales. La relación calidad-precio es muy buena. El hotel está a unos 5-10 minutos caminando de la playa. Repetiremos sin duda.

We stayed in Hotel Rio over the new year period... We were delayed flying out from Gatwick so arrived at the hotel a few hours later than expected at 9:15pm. As soon as we arrived in the hotel, the receptionist ca e up to all of us who had arrived, put a band on our wrists and told us to go eat before checking in (they had held the restaurant open for us). The food was delicious and couldn't wait to see what was available for breakfast! Check in was so easier and the staff were all so friendly. Our apartment was lovely! Spacious and very clean. We went and had drinks on the terrace with a fire burner (amazing!!!). Breakfast was delicious!! The pool however is probably the only downside where it wasn't heated but it didn't stop us as a 2 family of 4 getting in and having fun, especially the kids!! The location is beautiful! If you like walking, the walk to the town is lovely as is climbing up the mountain!!! Hotel Rio made our stay exceptional, from the food to the staff!

Hi, I would just like to write a review to say a massive thank you for such a wonderful stay in your hotel. On arrival I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist called Nicole who checked me in quickly and efficiently. She was very kind as I was travelling alone ensured I had all the relevant information for my stay that I needed, including going above and beyond to direct me around the hotel to show me the restaurant etc. Nicole was very pleasant during my stay, always smiling, and without fail always said good morning. She helped me book taxis to areas I needed to be and all in all was a pleasure to meet. The food at the hotel was good, I enjoyed eating at the hotel as well as eating in nearby local restaurants. The pools were very nice also especially having more than one. The room was very clean, and tidied and cleaned every day by the housekeeping service which was great. An added bonus was the fact that the safe was free of charge. Thank you very much for a great stay

Acabamos de llegar a nuestro domicilio, después de pasar una semana en el hotel en régimen de todo incluido. Ha sido una semana fantástica, con un único pero... El hotel está excesivamente enfocado a extranjeros. Se añora y mucho el poco escuchar hablar en español por parte del personal y la animación. Es un tema sensible y fácilmente solucionan le. Las instalaciones y habitación espectaculares, como los detalles del último día de la estancia.

Hi. We are a family of 3 (me 8 months pregnant) and decided to spend New Year's Eve holiday in the hotel, not entirely sure what we would be facing upon arrival as there were mixed reviews before renovation works. Now that the hotel has undergone major refurbishment (top to bottom) there is no single complaint that we have. The staff (both at the reception and the cleaning staff) were welcoming and helpful, always responsive and going out of their way to meet all our demands (and we had plenty ;-). The hotel itself and bungalows are very spacious, modern and comfortable. Honestly, these best we have enjoyed in Canary Islands! Everything is new, clean, well taken care of! The half-Olympic pool still smells of novelty! I wish the gym had been ready by the time we arrived. Otherwise, I have found no fault with the facilities. All in all, we were pleasantly surprised- we felt at home and became so comfortable that we didn't feel like going back! I wholeheartedly recommend it for families!!

Esta Semana Santa hemos estado durante 10 días en el Hotel Rio Playa Blanca. El hotel está muy bien, la comida muy buena y el personal fantástico. Todo estupendo. Del personal destacamos sobre todo - al equipo de animación con su nuevo jefe al frente, que es encantador, muy trabajador y con muy buenas ideas y - a Charaf, Raquel y Aitor que nos han tratado fenomenal y son unos trabajadores increíbles. Just home from this location had a great time. Not a thing to complain about place was immaculate everywhere . very clean resort. Animation team were hard working and very pleasant. Bungalow is a bit dated decoration wise.We were in a 2 bedroom bungalow. 2 bathrooms and showers. Kitchen area with fridge. And sitting area with tv Loads of space for a family and your own patio sitting area. Food was great new themes of cooking every night. Walking distance to beach and very good marina. Would highly recommend for families with small kids. Pool area again immAcculate with heated pool although be aware of the unheated pool!!!! VERY COLD. THANKYOU FOR A GREAT HOLIDAY

¡Qué vacaciones más fantásticas! No estábamos muy seguros al principio sobre qué hotel elegir, estuvimos dudando entre varios de la zona, pero sin duda acertamos de pleno. Es un sitio precioso, muy grande, muy limpio...con un personal increíblemente amable y servicial. La comida riquísima, y podíamos elegir si comer fuera o dentro. La animación y los shows fueron increíbles también. Una verdadera pena irnos, la verdad...aunque sin duda, volveremos!!
